There are ten things wrong here and Ash was fooled by eleven of them.

I can see how they tricked Ash…their lie was so masterfully conceived, so brilliantly thought out that even Wonder Woman the goddess of truth herself would have a hard time seeing through it!

Team Rocket either didn’t realize how bad a plan this was and just got really lucky or they knew how bad it was but they also knew it would work anyway

They realised that their mistake was going for plans so complicated that only an idiot could mess them up because Ash, while he is a good soul, is very much an idiot (I say this with no hate in my heart, Ash is a good person but he is also a fool)

And so they went for a scheme so ridiculous that no one with a shred of common sense could fall for it…and naturally Ash fell for it right away :D

Ya’ll.are missing the worst part. They arent wearing disguises. They have glasses on and thats it, and Jame’s dont even hide his eyes. Ash has been dealing with team rocket for years and yet they blatently walk up to him wearing nothing but hats and glasses and Ash immedietly just said “yes. These noodle salespeople who look almost identical to the people who’ve been stalking me and stealing my pikachu for most of my life are clearly well-meaning trustworthy individuals who are in no way suspicious”
